Comandi per Editor / Monitor PLC

Commmands available in both Editor and Monitor Modes

    Command Mouse Keyboard  
    Move Cursor to select a PLC Elemnt
    The Editor uses 3 different Cursors:


    - A Square Cursor to point the PLC Elements


    - An Arrow Cursor for the Mouse

    - A Character cursor used only inside the Fields of the Elements 

    When an Element has been selected moving the Square Cursor then you can edit its field typing inside and moving the cursor with the keyboards arrows

    NOTE: Editing a field is possible only if editor is in Edit Mode (see "Enable/Disable Editor of the Elements’ Fields")

    Just point the element

    Toggle the Size of a Window
    (This feature can be used in Monitor Mode to get the sight of different windows at the same time, or when you need to copy a Block from one windows to another one)

    Enlarge/Reduce the Size of the Comments and Math Blocks
    The the Fields of Mathematical Blocks and of the Comment Blocks can hold several lines. But the visible portion of the field can be modified. You can enlarge them, for instance, when you are editing the content of the field, and then you can reduce it to get a better sight with more circuits on the same page.

    Switch to/from Symbolic Names
    Each Elements is identified by a Tag (R0.1, WM100, etc.) and each Tag can also be bound to a Symbolic Name. This helps your memory to rememeber the meaning the Element has in the program.

    You can therefore toggle between the Tag and the Symbolic representation of the Elements Name. Of course if the Tag of an Elements was not bound to any Symbols you will still see the Tag event when the windows in in 'Symbols' Mode.

    A Windows in Symbols Mode is Marked by a Red 'S' written at the Top Left of the windows itself.

    Open the Symbols Dialog
    Opens a Dialog where you can set or modify the binding between a Tag and a Symbolic Name. If the command is typed when you on a Element, its Tag and Symbols (it already existend) are automatically set inside the Dialog.

    Opens a Dialog where you can find/replace by strings, elements or a combination of both

Edit the Text Fields
The Editor can be in Browse Mode or in Edit Mode. In Browse Mode the editing of the Text fields is not enabled, in Edit Mode every time you point an Element its Text Fileds are opened and you can modify them.

The Edit Mode is shown by the  'EDIT' string in the Top Left side of the window

Select, Write, Deselect a PLC Element
Before you can insert a PLC element inside the Ladder you must select it form the ToolBar (at the top of the Program Window). When an Element has been selected the Mouse Cursor becomes bound to the Element (you will see a new Cursor Icon of the Mouse showing the Element symbol).

To write the selected Element just left click inside the Plc File Window or move the Square Cursor and type F2

To Remove the  Mouse binding just Right Click the Mouse

 


Selection : Left Click on the Toolbar Icon of the Element


Deselect : Right Click


Not Available for Selection/Deselection

F2 to insert the selected Element

 

Delete an Element
NOTE: if the Element is a complex one (i.e. like Comment Block, Math Block) , the Square Cursor must be on its beginning (i.e. the icon in case og the Comment and the 'MB' in case of the Math) to let the command work.
